jesus it's about time i updated this thing

here are a select few pieces i did this past academic year, if anyone cares. some of you may've already seen a few of these on my myspace, but there are some other ones i don't believe i've posted anywhere yet. critiques are more than welcome and would be greatly appreciated!!! i wish i had more work to show, but all of my good stuff is back in florida.. these are just the ones i happened to scan or photograph throughout the year. sorry they're all so small, i can upload the larger versions if anyone is interested.

this is the painting that got into the best of ringling show. it's supposed to be aphrodite, the goddess of love. this photo sucks balls. i promise this looks much better in person.

I like the whole split complimentary approach towards your color schemes. The mood you get with it goes perfectly well with your subject matter. It has this graphic, pin-up, tattoo feel too it. It's amazing to see how Barentime's influence is still evident in your work.

I definetly think this needs some anatomical work. The hand holding the apple doesn't register well. And the legs too. The graphic approach in those areas wasn't a good choice. It takes away from your unification. What are you making real and what are you making graphic? When you find that out you should stick to it, or else it looks inconsistent and very student like.

Your rendering is nice. You blend colors well. Very nice since of design.

I really like the whale. Definetly my favorite.

and the sad picture of you. Wow that's a very nice way to insintuate that mood. By letting the paint drip. I'm gonna have to use that. Very nice concept.

You definetly have a style. I just say define it some more. Very beautiful stuff.
